Mr. Soepomo is one of the founding figures of the nation. His services in designing the basis of the State earned him the nickname the architect of the 1945 Constitution along with other figures namely Soekarno and M. Yamin. Here is a brief biography of Mr. Soepomo.

Prof. Dr. Soepomo was born in Sukoharjo on January 22, 1903 and died at the age of 55 in Jakarta on September 12, 1958. Soepomo studied at ELS or Europeesche Lagere School in 1917, located in Boyolali.

Then in 1920, he continued his education at MULO. After graduating from Mulo, he continued his education at the Bataviasche Rechtschool Law School in 1923. After completing his education, he worked for the Dutch colonial government.

Furthermore, in 1924, he had the opportunity to continue his education at Leiden University in the Netherlands and was immediately mentored by a world customary law leader, namely Cornelis Van Vallenhoven. Furthermore, Soepomo actively wrote criticisms of the colonial government but in a subtle and ethical manner so as not to jeopardize his position. Soepomo was then active in preparing for the independence of the Indonesian nation under the supervision of the Japanese military government.
